Legal
Terms of service
Last updated October 24, 2026
These terms are between you and Your LLC Name, doing business as CAVU Aerial ("we", "us"), a Florida business. By booking a shoot, ordering a report or using the client portal, you agree to them.
Booking a shoot
- A request isn't a booking until we confirm it by email. We'll confirm, suggest another time or decline within one business day.
- You confirm that you own the property or have the owner's permission for us to photograph it, and that the occupants know a drone will be overhead.
- We fly under FAA Part 107. The pilot decides whether it's safe and legal to fly, and may delay, shorten or stop a flight for weather, airspace, people or animals below, or any other safety reason.
- Weather reschedules are free. If airspace authorization can't be obtained for the property, we'll tell you before the shoot and you won't be charged for it.
Prices and payment
- Prices are as quoted on this site or in your invoice. Invoices are sent and paid through Stripe.
- A gallery's files are available to download once its invoice is paid.
Desktop roof reports
- A desktop roof report is drawn from public lidar and aerial photos, which may be several years old and won't show changes since they were taken. The report states the year of each source.
- Its measurements, pitches and solar estimates are estimates for quoting and planning. They are not a survey, an inspection or a substitute for measuring on site, and you should check them before ordering materials or signing a contract.
- If we can't produce a usable report for the address you ordered, we'll refund you in full.
- The report price comes off a drone roof report of the same property booked within 30 days, if we accept the job. We may turn one down, for example if the property is outside our service area, the airspace or site can't be flown safely or legally, or we can't schedule it in time. The credit has no cash value, and the report price isn't refunded when a drone job doesn't go ahead, since it paid for the desktop report you received.
Using the photos and reports
- We keep the copyright in the photos, video, maps and reports we make.
- Once paid for, you may use them without time limit to market and sell the property, to quote and carry out work on it, and in your own business's marketing. You may share them with the property's owner, buyers, your team and others working on that property.
- You may not resell or license them to anyone else, or let them be used to market a different property, without our written permission.
- We may use the work in our own portfolio and marketing, without naming you or showing the street address, unless you ask us not to.
AI edits
The portal can edit photos with AI at your request. An edited photo is saved as a new version; your original is never changed. Generative edits, such as removing objects, change what the photo shows. You are responsible for following your MLS's and other listing services' rules on altered photos, including any disclosure they require.
The client portal
- Keep access to your email account secure, since sign-in codes are sent there. Anyone with a share link you create can view that gallery until it expires or you turn it off.
- Don't try to reach galleries or data that aren't yours, or overload or interfere with the site.
- We keep your files available while you're a client. If we ever need to remove old galleries, we'll email you first so you can download them.
Our responsibility
We carry $1 million in liability insurance and will fix or redo work that doesn't match what we agreed. Apart from that, the site, portal and estimates are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to what you paid for that job, and we aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost sales, lost profits or materials ordered from an estimate.
Changes and disputes
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do; the terms in place when you booked or ordered apply to that job. Florida law governs these terms, and any dispute will be heard in the courts of Hillsborough County, Florida. If you have a problem, please email us first; most things can be put right quickly.
